Working throughout the Western Suburbs, I have developed a strong sense of community and dedication to enhancing quality of life, including end-of-life and palliative care. I have extensive experience supporting cognitive and psychological health, sensory function, physical abilities, and urinary and bowel health management. I also guide environmental modifications and medication management to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.

This service is ideal for individuals recovering from hospitalisation, joint replacement, changes in health status, recent falls, or cognitive decline, and is designed to help maintain independence at home.

The occupational therapist will focus on 1-2 key areas of your home, such as the bathroom, bedroom, or kitchen, and provide immediate recommendations for safety improvements, including necessary equipment and supports. A written summary of recommendations will follow the assessment.

An occupational therapist may provide a one off home report with recommendations for adaptations and modifications. Alternatively, they can work with you weekly or bi-weekly on strategies such as cognitive exercises, practicing independent tasks, fall prevention education, or activities to enhance quality of life.

A typical evaluation takes 60-90 minutes, with additional time for report writing.
Weekly support sessions to aid independence and engagement last 45 minutes.

We can recommend management strategies for daily living activities (e.g., self-care, dressing, cooking) and suggest equipment to support independence (e.g., grab rails, adaptive tools). However, due to limited capacity, we cannot assist with large home modifications and installations at this time.

The initial consultation is 45 minutes at our standard long consultation rate of $140, plus 60 minutes for summary writing, totalling $280. Additional assessment, report and travel time may be charged.
Additional home services are usually booked as long consultations; however, short consultations for adjustments and phone calls are also available.

Classes may be eligible for coverage under private health insurance, Medicare pain management plans, My Aged Care, ACAT, or NDIS funding. Please check with your provider to confirm your specific coverage. If you have any questions, please contact us.
